KUALA LUMPUR: City Hall yesterday issued 10 compound notices to repair contractors for various offences, such as road excavation and pipe replacement.

The action was carried out by the Enforcement Department, Civil Engineering and Drainage Department, Infrastructure Planning Department, Urban Transportation Department and Integrity Department at Jalan Ampang, Jalan Tun Razak, Jalan Sentul, Jalan Sentul Pasar, Jalan Tumbuhan, Jalan Ayer Panas and Jalan Loke Yew.

"City Hall conducted inspections in seven locations and found four road excavations that violated standard operating procedures.

"Three other activities had obtained permission and were conducting road excavation according to guidelines.

"Enforcement action was taken for offenses under the Street, Drainage, and Building Act 1974 (eight notices), Local Government Act 1976 (one notice), and the By-laws on Material Transport (WPKL) 1997 (one notice).
