KUALA LUMPUR: The motorcycle lane on the Johor Causeway will be closed in stages starting tomorrow (May 19) until June 5.

MRT Corp, in a statement, said the total duration of intermittent closure would last 18 days, to make way for Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link works between Johor Baru and Singapore.

The lane closure will take place from May 19 to 20, and May 25 to June 5, excluding weekends.

"The works will be carried out from 8pm until 3am (Woodlands, Singapore-bound) and 10pm until 5am (Johor Baru, Malaysia-bound) for 18 days."

This closure is to facilitate bracket installation, bracket dismantling and other RTS Link project-related works.

Stage one would involve bracket installation works in Johor Baru, on the Malaysia-bound lane, starting from KM0.7 for a distance of 200 metres.

Stage two, in Woodlands, on the Singapore bound lane, the bracket dismantling works would start on KM1.0 for 200 metres.
