KUALA KUBU BAHARU: Muhammad Nazmi Mohd Nazlan and his twin brother Muhammad Nazri, who are Persons with Disabilities (PWD), want their voices to be heard in the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election.

The twin brothers, who have special needs and are PWD card holders, were among the earliest to arrive at SK Bandar Baru Batang Kali here, which is one of 18 polling centres in the state constituency.

Muhammad Nazmi said they went out early to cast their votes to avoid any possibility of enduring long queues at the polling centre.

"Like everyone (in Kuala Kubu Baharu), we too want to fulfil our responsibility to vote in the by-election," said Muhammad Nazmi.

He added this was not the first time the brothers have cast their votes in an election.

"This is not our first experience. We have voted before," he said.

Muhammad Nazmi and his twin brother, both 25, were among 39,269 ordinary voters eligible to vote in the by-election today.

Voters in the state constituency have until 5pm to carry out their responsibility to vote in the by-election.

It was previously reported that the voter turnout today reached 9.72 per cent as of 9am today.
