BUKIT MERTAJAM: Pas' Sungai Bakap assemblyman Nor Zamri Latiff, who has been admitted to Seberang Jaya Hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to inflammation of the stomach, is recovering.

Nor Zamri's wife, Musalmah Yusop, in her 50s, said her husband's health was improving and his CT scan came back clear.

She said he was partially sedated to allow him to rest.

"He is doing much better. He can react when we talk to him.

"He has been partially sedated to allow him to rest and let his stomach recover," she said outside the ICU today.

Musalmah thanked everyone for their concern and prayers for her husband's fast recovery.

"My husband is a very caring and benevolent man. We hope his benevolence will help him recover fast."

Musalmah hoped the family could be given privacy to attend to Nor Zamri.

"We know the people are concerned and we thank them for it.

"But my husband is still in the ICU and we hope to be given some privacy.

"We will inform everyone when my husband moves to the normal ward."

Nor Zamri, 56, experienced stomach pain and was taken to Sungai Bakap Hospital two days ago. He was transferred to Seberang Jaya Hospital the same day.
