IPOH: The bodies of all victims of yesterday's helicopter crash have left the Forensic Department of Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB) here.

The hearses were seen leaving the premises at about 4.35pm.

The bodies of eight of the muslim victims are believed to be enroute to Gua Permai Camp, 23rd Battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment (23 RAMD) on Jalan Tambun.

The bodies will undergo burial preparations, including the funeral prayer process.

Journalist who gathered there to cover the preperations found several military personnel guarding the camp entrance, controlling the flow of vehicles in and out of the camp.

The media practitioners were not allowed to enter or park vehicles near the camp area fence.

It was learnt that only official media namely Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) and the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) were allowed to enter the camp area.

At the HRPB Forensic Department, media practitioners who gathered there have only been allowed to cover from outside the department gates since yesterday.

Since yesterday, there was tight security at the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) base following the midair crash involving two Royal Malaysian Navy helicopters .

Media personnel were instructed to gather at Lumut town at 3.30pm before being shepherded aboard a Navy bus to be escorted into the base there.
