PUTRAJAYA: An interim report on the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) helicopter crash yesterday will be ready in two weeks.

Unity Government spokesman Fahmi Fadzil said Defence Minister Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin had given his commitment and that a full report would be ready in a month.

"The Cabinet meeting today extensively discussed yesterday's RMN helicopter incident, and the Defence Minister is committed to providing an interim report within two weeks.

"The full report on the incident on the other hand will be completed within a month," he said at a press conference here today.

He said Khaled would also announce a series of aid for the victim's next of kin soon.

following a mid-air collision over the naval base in Lumut.

All 10 crew members on board both helicopters perished.

It collided during a mid-air manoeuvre in a flypast training for the RMN's 90th anniversary celebrations.

The RMN has established an investigation board to probe the incident.
