BALAI RINGIN: The community of Kampung Ensebang Padang Bilun can now look forward to utilising its new community hall, constructed at a cost of RM300,000, the Sarawak Public Communications Unit reported.

The hall was officially opened by Sarawak Deputy Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Snowdan Lawan, who affirmed its construction under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP).

During the inauguration ceremony at Balai Raya Tuai Rumah Bita Ringkos on April 20, Snowdan addressed the issue of previous community hall projects that were not completed despite funding.

"I will ensure that every RTP allocation is systematically used and fully utilised," he said, highlighting his commitment to the prudent management of funds.

Additionally, Snowdan, who also serves as Balai Ringin assemblyman, expressed plans to elevate Balai Ringin to a full district status, citing the existing adequate facilities like schools, military camps, health clinics, a mini stadium, and other amenities that support such an upgrade.
