KOTA KINABALU: The Yayasan Sabah Technology College (KTYS) organised a 'Bubur Lambuk' Distribution Programme at the City Campus, Sembulan, Sabah Media reported.

The programme was done in collaboration with community partners like Tabung Haji, TH Travel, Bank Islam, and Adabi, celebrating the spirit of Ramadan.

This initiative aimed to foster cooperation and strengthen bonds throughout the holy month, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from the KTYS Student Council, students, staff, and community partners. Culinary students and staff at KTYS played a crucial role in cooking and preparing the porridge, embodying the college's commitment to practical learning and community service.

The prepared 'Bubur Lambuk' was distributed among the college's staff and students, creating a sense of community and shared celebration. Additionally, Tabung Haji, TH Travel and Services, and Adabi set up booths offering various services and products, enhancing the event's communal atmosphere.

Datuk Tah Nia Jaman, Chairman of KKYS Sdn Bhd, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and participation in the event, highlighting the power of collaboration and compassion in community-building efforts.

"We are delighted and thankful to see the community come together in the spirit of giving, which has made this program a success," said Tah Nia during the event.

In line with the Ramadan spirit, KTYS staff, led by Datuk Tah Nia, also visited Home Tuaran, distributing daily necessities and cash donations. Home Tuaran, managed by Sulaiman Osman, is an orphanage for teenage boys operating since 2014.
