KUCHING: 35 students have been granted scholarship offers for a Student Exchange Programme, marking a collaborative effort between Yayasan Sarawak and Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas), the Sarawak Public Communications Unit reported.

This partnership, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Sept 2023, highlights the commitment of both entities to foster academic growth and international exposure among Sarawakian students.

The scholarship offer letters were officially handed over by Director of Yayasan Sarawak Mersal Abang Rosli at the foundation's office in Kuching on Sunday. Following the ceremony, the scholars proceeded to Kuching International Airport (to embark on their journey to Kuala Lumpur.

For the initial phase of their exchange experience, the students will reside at the Yayasan Sarawak Kuala Lumpur Office Dormitory before registering at their respective schools the next day.
