SUNGAI PETANI: Seven vehicles, including four cars and three motorcycles, were damaged in a fire involving a workshop and a house in Kampung Lebai Man here today.
Sungai Petani Fire and Rescue Department chief Ismail Mohd Zain said a team was despatch to the location promptly after receiving distress calls at 6.06am.
"The fire involving a house and workshop was successfully contained, and no victims were harmed.
"The fire incident affected approximately 90 per cent of the house and 80 per cent of the workshop. It also resulted in the destruction of four cars and three motorcycles," he said in a statement today.
He added that overhaul operations are being conducted to ensure that the fire does not spread.
