NIBONG TEBAL: Two motorcyclists were killed in a head on collision here yesterday morning.
The deceased were identified as G. Ramachandran, 57, and Mohammad Asraf Danial Mohd Mokhtar, 22.
Acting Seberang Perai Selatan district police chief, Mohd Norazmi Abd Ghapar said the 5.50am accident is believed to have been caused by Ramachandran who was riding against the flow of traffic along Jalan Besar, Sungai Jawi.
Both motorcyclists were killed on the spot in the collision.
Mohd Norazmi said Mohammad Asraf was returning to his home in Buki Panchor while Ramachandran was on his way to work at the Majlis Bandaraya Seberang Perai (MBSP) Depot.
Police are requesting for witnesses to assist in investigations.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
