KLANG: One of the wings of light aircraft BK 160 Gabriel broke mid air before crashing in Kampung Tok Muda, Kapar, according to an eyewitness.

An Air Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) official when met at the site said the piece of information was gathered on the ground, with the probe focusing on the engine aspect.

"We will check the wing, including on (possible) blow, apart from the engine.

"We will study all possible causes for the crash. We ask the public to surrender any pieces of the aircraft that they discovered to us," said the official.

Remnants of the plane's wheel and fuel tank were seen taken away from nearby housing area and gathered at the site's command centre.

In yesterday's afternoon tragedy yesterday, Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call at 1.56pm and firemen arrived at the scene in Kg Tok Muda Kapar around 2.20pm.

According to the flight manifest, the individuals involved are Daniel Yee Hsiang Khoon, 30, and Roshaan Singh Raina, 42.

He said the victims, believed to be from Johor and Penang, were found around 2pm inside the cockpit.
