KLANG: The post-mortem examination of two victims of the BK 160 Gabriel light aircraft that crashed near Kampung Tok Muda, Kapar, yesterday is expected to be completed today.

Klang Utara district police chief Assistant Commissioner S. Vijaya Rao said the examination is currently ongoing following the completion of DNA sampling by the victims' next-of-kin, earlier today.

"The post-mortem (examination) on the bodies is currently ongoing, we have also taken the fingerprints (of the next-of-kin) earlier.

"All confirmation will be issued later once we have 100 per cent verification (on the body's identification).

"We also hope that the examination (of post-mortem) will be completed this evening and we will try our best (to expedite the process)," he said, adding that he has also discussed the matter with the Pathology Department to expedite the process.

He said this to members of the media when met at the Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah's (HTAR) forensic medical department, today.

Police yesterday confirmed the death of two people on board the light aircraft that crashed near Kampung Tok Muda, Kapar.

Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said a preliminary investigation revealed that the two were Malaysians.

He said the process of recovering the bodies was ongoing as the 1,300kg aircraft was buried 2 metres deep.

Based on the flight manifest, the Malaysian men have been identified as Daniel Yee Hsiang Khoon, 30 and Roshaan Singh Rania, 42.
