TANGKAK: Two motorists were killed, while one other suffered injuries in a road accident involving two vehicles at Km36 of the Muar-Segamat road this morning.
Tangkak Fire and Rescue Department operations commander PBK II Johairi Sameon said the department received a distress call about the crash at 7.29am.
Two teams from Tangkak and Bukit Gambir fire and rescue stations were dispatched to the scene.
"The two-vehicle accident involved three victims. Upon arriving at the scene, we found a 64-year-old man and another unidentified male lifeless and trapped in a Suzuki Vitara."
He said paramedics at the scene confirmed both deaths.
"Another person, a 24-year-old in a Mitsubishi Grandis, survived the crash but sustained severe injuries to the head and legs."
Johairi said the deceased and injured victim were sent to Tangkak Hospital for post-mortem and treatment, respectively.
