KUALA TERENGGANU: The health condition of the Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, who is currently undergoing treatment at the National Heart Institute (IJN), has improved and is awaiting to be discharged.

Hadi's political secretary Mohd Syahir Che Sulaiman, said that the Marang member of parliament was advised to rest after being allowed to leave IJN.

"Alhamdulillah, his condition is getting better and he will be allowed to leave IJN at any time," he said when contacted today.

Hadi, 76, was reported to be at IJN for a heart examination since Jan 1. Syahir, who is also a Bachok member of parliament, said the Perikatan Nasional (PN) deputy chairman will continue to be monitored even after being allowed to leave IJN.

Sharing on Hadi's daily activities while he's in IJN, Syahir said Hadi spent his time writing for 'Minda Presiden PAS' on his Facebook account.

"He has been spending his time writing and browsing the internet to keep up with the latest developments, especially the conflict between Palestine and Israel.

"He also dedicated a lot of time to reading the Quran," he said.

Meanwhile, when asked about Hadi not being allowed to receive visitors, Syahir explained that the management of IJN advised against former Terengganu menteri besar receiving visitors.

"We ourselves were contacted by Pas leaders intending to visit him, but we had to comply with the advice from the IJN management.

"We call for everyone to continue praying for the health of our respected leader," he said.
