TAIPING: Taiping Municipal Council has announced a 50 per cent reduction in the payment of parking compounds. This initiative is part of the celebrations marking the 150th anniversary of Taiping and is effective from Jan 20 to Feb 20.
The council, in a Facebook post, said that the discount applies to traffic offence compounds issued under the council's 2004 Road Transport Order (Parking Provision) MPT 2004. Those interested should note that the offer does not extend to compounds or warning notices that have proceeded to court action.
