KUALA LUMPUR: The Works Ministry has yet to conclude all its discussions in regards to the multi-lane free flow (MLFF) project.

Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said substantial improvements in the project's implementation are necessary.

"Improvement is necessary, but not everything has been finalised in discussions yet. It is essential to recognise that not every aspect has been conclusively addressed at this point," he told reporters after launching the construction of additional motorcycle shelters at the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) here today.

He said it was important to give an opportunity for all highway concessionaires to reach a collective decision on the matter. He also said that any arising issue could be deliberated.

"It must be emphasised that during these discussions, whatever matters that are a source of dissatisfaction should be rectified.

"This is paramount to underscore our commitment in safeguarding the interests of road users as we must prioritise not only their safety but also their overall comfort.

"This will be a pivotal objective in our process of refining the project discussion," he said.

Earlier today, Nanta had said that the ministry would conduct various studies to introduce improvement measures for the MLFF project.

Nanta affirmed that the proposed enhancements are part of a strategic initiative aimed at bolstering the flawless execution of the MLFF project.

He also emphasised that these planned improvements are strategically devised to ensure not only the seamless implementation of the MLFF but also to maximise its overall benefits extended to the public.
