KUALA LUMPUR: Journalists from the News Straits Times Press (NSTP) dominated the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Media Awards 2023 held tonight, walking away with trophies and cash prizes.

Harian Metro reporter Mohd Alhafiz Ithnin won the award in two categories, Print Media and Portal Media, and Infographic.

He won the award under Print Media and Portal Media for his article titled 'Mengurus Sisa Binaan, Denda RM10,000 Menanti'.

He also won first place with Mohd Fahmy Mohd Hashim in the Infographic category for the 'Pemuliharaan Stadium Merdeka' infographic.

They walked away with RM5,000 for each category and certificates.

Harian Metro also won second place for the Infographic category by Nor 'asyikin Mat Hayin and Nor Salim Mohamed Dawam for their material titled 'Pintasan Saloma Bukan Pintasan Biasa'.

They won RM3,000 and certificates.

NSTP photographer Mohd Fadli Hamzah won second place in the Photography category and walked away with RM3,000 and a certificate.

Digital Editor Tharanya Arumugam and graphic artist Ahmad Yusri from the New Straits Times won the consolation prize of RM1,000 and certificates for the Infographic category.

Meanwhile, TV3's Irin Putri Azmi won the Television and Online Video Broadcast Media (News and Documentaries) category for Majalah 3 - Misi Kembalikan Kuasa Kenyir.

Safwan Sawi dan Fairuz Yazzer from TV3 also won the third place in the same category.

The awards were presented by Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi.
