KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has underscored the importance of attracting increased global investments to enhance the nation's prosperity, with the aim to benefit the general public.
He said this includes collaborations between Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) and its investors.
"This requires a new approach to remain competitive on the international stage, considering the various challenges of the present time.
"(And) to achieve this, I have directed Tenaga Nasional Berhad to facilitate Petronas' planned initiatives.
"Hopefully, this will lead us towards a better future for all, God willing," he stated.
Anwar made these remarks during a session with Petronas East Coast employees, led by deputy executive vice president and chief executive officer of Downstream, Datuk Sazali Hamzah, in Kemaman yesterday.
