KUALA LUMPUR: The explanation given by Datuk Dr Muhammad Agus Yusoff regarding the lewd conversation video involving the former Director-General of the Department of Community Communication (J-KOM) and a man last night is very confusing.

Badrul Hisham Shaharin, or more commonly known as Chegubard, who is Bersatu's information committee member, said the issue is becoming more complicated.

He questioned whether the recording confirms the existence of issues between Muhammad Agus and several individuals in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

In a statement posted on Facebook, Chegubard advised Muhammad Agus to stop revealing more information about the video lasting more than three minutes that was uploaded on his social media yesterday.

He also challenged Abdul Wahab to disclose the identity of Mr H - who was named as the person who instructed Wahab to record his video call with Agus in the press conference last night- adding that he would file a lawsuit if he blamed him for the spread of the video.

"Muhammad Agus not only presented Wahab but also confirmed the authenticity of the video. Wahab admitted to recording it, but without audio. The excuse for a video call without audio is amusing.

"Wahab claimed he was paid by a 'Mr. H', who is also a J-KOM staff.

"Wahab admitted that the video is genuine but said it had been edited. Wahab should be brave enough to release the original video. Hopefully, it doesn't turn out like the 'omega watch' video (Anqar-China doll video), which is said to exist but has not been shown until now," he said.

Chegubard also questioned the identity of Mr. H, wondering if he is someone under the influence of the PMO who wants to remove Muhammad Agus.

"If Mr. H exists and has committed a crime, how much did he offer to pay Wahab to record and how much has Muhammad Agus paid Wahab to confess?

"Muhammad Agus seems to be employing the three strategies of Anwar (Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim) when caught; deny, accuse others and confuse the public," he said, last night.

He was commenting on the press conference held by Muhammad Agus and Abdul Wahab, who is also the assistant officer of J-KOM and concurrently the Deputy Chief of the Hulu Langat Youth Movement (AMK), following the emergence of a sexually explicit video allegedly involving them that went viral on social media.

The recording is claimed to be fake and edited by irresponsible parties, with the aim of tarnishing Muhammad Agus's reputation.

Abdul Wahab admitted to recording it, but he claimed that the conversation content was not as circulated on social media.

He also alleged that the explicit video was a conspiracy by Mr. H, whose identity is undisclosed.

Meanwhile, Chegubard admitted to uploading the video on his social media platform after claiming that the video clip had already made rounds online.

He said he did so to seek responses regarding its authenticity.

He said the video had gone viral since yesterday evening.

He uploaded it on social media as a question to get a response about its authenticity because many were asking who "Wahab" was.

He included the question, "If true, how many more are there appointed to political positions who are confused about their sexual identity?"

Chegubard said his question is relevant because the country currently has a prime minister who has been confirmed by the court as a perpetrator of same-sex crimes.

He also stressed that he has no interest in Muhammad Agus and Wahab's personal matters.

In regards to the Communication and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil's statement of the appointment of a new J-KOM director-general, Chegubard described it as a reflection of a mixed regime that does not care about the people.

He also criticised the unity government for failing to appoint a minister for more than four months to help the people with the rising cost of living and commodity prices.

"However, within a day after the J-KOM director-general resigned, a replacement is already being considered," he said.
