THE Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (Mampu) will be holding the Public Sector Premier Innovation Award (AIPSA) 2023 ceremony on Nov 7.

It will take place at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre, and the programme will include three award categories: AIPSA, Public Sector Innovation Award (AInSA) and Public Sector Innovation DNA Award (ADISA).

The AIPSA award, formerly known as Prime Minister's Innovation Award for AIPM, was mooted to recognise government agencies that have enhanced public service delivery through innovation.

It is also the highest category in the programme, and its main recipient will be selected among top recipients from the AInSA category.

Meanwhile, there are four tracks under the AInSA and ADISA categories, which are Social, Economic, Infrastructure, and Security and Administration. The main evaluation criteria for the awards are based on high impact, value for money, digitalisation and sustainability.

Top recipients for each track under the AInSA and ADISA categories will bring home RM200,000 and RM50,000, together with a trophy and certificate, respectively.

The AIPSA award recipient will walk away with RM1 million with a trophy and certificate.

All in all, the spirit of the AIPSA programme is in line with the third core value of Malaysia MADANI's vision: Innovation (Daya Cipta).

Ultimately, the aim of the programme is to cultivate and encourage innovation among agencies under the public sector, so Malaysia can become an innovative nation.

The AIPSA 2023 ceremony will be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and attended by deputy prime ministers, cabinet ministers, the chief secretary to the government, state government secretaries and director generals for federal departments.
