KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim hopes that the bilateral relationship between Malaysia and Saudi Arabia will continue to strengthen for global prosperity and peace.

Anwar said that the relations between both countries will enter new horizons, shaping a fresh chapter in the friendship between the two nations.

He made this statement in his Facebook post, sharing on his meeting with the Crown Prince, who is also the Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed Salman, at the Al-Yamamah Palace last Saturday.

The official meeting was at the personal invitation of His Highness to Anwar, following Saudi Arabia's hosting of the First ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit in the capital city.

During the meeting, Anwar also discussed the ongoing Palestinian-Israeli conflict that has persisted since October 7.
