KUANTAN: Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah today witnessed the presentation ceremony of the business tithe from corporate entities to the Pahang Council of Islamic Religious and Malay Customs (MUIP) here.

Three corporate entities presented the business tithe totalling RM8.4 million to the Regent of Pahang Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah, who is also MUIP president.

Tengku Panglima Raja Col Tengku Amir Nasser Ibrahim Shah, who is also MUIP deputy president, was in attendance.

Pahang State Secretary's Corporation presented a business tithe of RM4 million, while Koperasi Serbausaha Makmur Bhd (KOSMA) and Mr. Bentong World Trading presented their tithes totalling RM2.4 million and RM2 million, respectively.

Earlier, Al-Sultan Abdullah also chaired the 190th Meeting of MUIP.

Also present were Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail and MUIP chief executive officer Datuk Ahmad Hairi Hussain. -- Bernama
