KOTA BARU: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof tonight said Perikatan Nasional leaders had yet to meet him over the allocation for opposition members of parliament.

He said they also have not sent him any official letter regarding the request.

So far, he said only Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdullah has met him to discuss the issue.

"The PN leadership had met me but not to discuss this (allocation) issue. What I can confirm here is that so far only Syed Siddiq has met me," he said at the National Kenaf and Tobacco Board (NKTB) 50th Golden Jubilee celebration here tonight.

It was reported in April that the government was prepared to provide the allocation for opposition MPs through proper negotiations.

Pas deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man was reported to have said the following month that the PN leadership would hold discussions with Fadillah to negotiate equal allocations for opposition MPs.

He said three MPs had been appointed to represent the federal opposition bloc in the negotiations: opposition leader Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin, Pas' Kota Baru MP Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan, and Bersatu's Putrajaya MP Datuk Radzi Jidin.
