KUALA LUMPUR: The actions of an irresponsible individual who threw white paint on a kitten have stirred anger among netizens after images of the animal's abuse went viral on social media.
This came after an X (formerly Twitter) user, @izzat_bashir, posted about the condition of the kitten found at a public university in Gombak, Selangor.
In his tweet, he said that a report has been made to the relevant authorities.
"Anyone who doesn't like animals, please don't be cruel. Just relocate them somewhere else or whatever. But don't commit this kind of cruelty. It's pitiful. Sigh, I can't stand it. Anyway, I have informed the relevant authorities to handle it.
"I have handed it over to animal welfare and the police. They said they will try to take necessary action. I hope the kitten survives. Pitiful," he further wrote.
In a later tweet, the user uploaded a picture of the kitten, named 'Meow,' after being cleaned.
"Update, 'Meow' is now clean after a bath, just a bit weak," he added.
