SHAH ALAM: Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil said TikTok has taken down a clip containing elements of criminal intimidation against a politician.
He said the video showed the undisclosed politician with several devices placed on a table and surrounded by a group of men.
"This is very worrying," he told reporters after attending an event at Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) here today.
Present was ministry secretary-general Datuk Mohamad Fauzi Md Isa.
He said TikTok acted quickly to take down the video without the intervention of the government.
Fahmi added that the ministry would meet with the police to discuss ways to detect such incidents on social media, including those touching on the 3R (race, religion, and royalty) issues.
