KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Academy (MACA) has vacated its building and evacuated its workers following the Tuesday landslide near the entrance of its academy and the Malaysian Integrity Institute (IIM) campus.

The quick relocation of 45 workers, 22 officers, 16 cleaners, and seven quarters' tenants (officer families) was carried out yesterday.

The fire department has recommended that the evacuation continues until the area in concern has been declared safe.

MACA is prepared for any additional directives from the authorities and will periodically issue notifications.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian Institute of Integrity (IIM) management has ordered all of its employees to work from home until a period to be announced later.

Yesterday, Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said the landslide was most likely caused by a leak in the underground water line, based on early investigations.

"The PWD is conducting a detailed investigation," he said in a posting on his Facebook account.
