KUALA LUMPUR: Slow traffic has been detected in major highways in the country on the third day of Raya as of 5pm, today.

According to the Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) LLM Infotrafik Twitter account, traffic is slow due to the heavy volume of vehicles and a broken down vehicle blocking one lane of a highway and an accident on the same highway in a different spot.

"At the Kuala Lumpur-Karak highway, slow traffic is detected from Karak to the Bentong toll plaza heading towards Lentang, and from Bukit Tinggi to Genting Sempah.

"A car broke down at Km255.5 northbound from Ipoh to Kuala Kangsar at the North-South Expressway which has blocked the right lane.
