KUALA LUMPUR: People travelling back to their hometowns to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri should bear in mind the seven traffic offences that will not be compoundable.
A statement posted on the Road Transport Department's Facebook page detailed the offences. They are:
1. Using handphones while driving
2. Driving through a red light
3. Driving in the emergency lane
4. Driving over the speed limit
5. Overtaking on double line
6. Queue-jumping
7. Not wearing a seatbelt
Those who flout the rules in the period from April 18 to 27 will be immediately referred to the courts.
