KUALA LUMPUR: Media Prima Omnia's Jom Ronda campaign is back with Skuad Seindah Kasih x Jom Ronda this Ramadan.

The campaign, which sees a collaboration with Panasonic Malaysia and 100 Plus, will distribute over 6,000 care packages to four selected regions around the peninsula beginning today.

Media Prima Omnia chief operating officer Mohd Effendi Omar said it was an honour to work with various sponsors this year for the rollout of the Seindah Kasih X Jom Ronda programme.

"With the support from sponsors and the public, we will expand this programme, make more stopovers and have more recipients," he said when met after the flag-off by Media Prima Group chairman Datuk Seri Syed Hussian Aljunid.

Also present were Media Prima Group managing director Rafiq Razali, NSTP group managing editor Datuk Ahmad Zaini Kamaruzzaman and Harian Metro group editor Husain Jahit.

The campaign flag-off which took place at Balai Berita, here, today, saw the squad visiting nearly 200 locations, including eight charity homes and four mosques.

Besides giving out 1,000 food vouchers worth RM30 each, Panasonic nanoeTM X technology inverter air conditioners will also be installed in the mosques during the squad visits.

100Plus Active, a non-carbonated isotonic with added B vitamins, will be donated as part of the care packs and during bubur lambuk sessions.

Also present at the event today were actresses Mimi Lana, Siti Saleha and Shasha Abedul, and actors Anas Ridzuan and Luqman Hafidz.

Special activities such as gotong-royong and religious sermons will be held at each of the selected locations.

The sermons will be given by Ustaz Safwan Idris on March 26 in Arau, Perlis, Da'i AIman on April 1 in Seberang Takir, Kuala Terengganu; Ustaz Azam Al-Kankari on April 8 in Batu Pahat, Johor; and lastly, Tajdid Hadhari on April 16 in Kajang, Selangor.
