KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Takaful Association (MTA) has launched the "Takaful-4-All" campaign to assist the low-income group affected by the floods, especially in Johor.

MTA chief executive officer Mohd Radzuan Mohamed said the campaign would prioritise four aspects in providing aid to flood victims.

"First, the campaign will facilitate and expedite the processing of claims, and the sharing of information via the hotline for all Takaful companies.

"Second, under the Takaful-4-All campaign, a collection centre will be set up to collect essential items for flood victims."

Radzuan said MTA's customers who wished to contribute to the flood victims could send essential goods to the collection centre.

"Third, the Takaful-4-All campaign will expedite follow-up actions to assist flood relief centres.

" Lastly, MTA will mobilise the Takaful-4-All team to help with clean-up work and provide assistance in flood-hit areas," he said, adding that MTA would provide free towing services to flood victims.

"There would also be on-site approvals for claims of up to RM20,000 without the requirement for documents or forms," said Radzuan.

"MTA also provides vehicle damage assistance, assistance for flood-damaged homes and flood claims to the victims."

As for medical assistance, he said, a guarantee letter for admission to a hospital within 24 hours would also be made available.

"We are deeply moved by the tragedy that has befallen flood victims across the country, especially the people of Johor.

"MTA is committed to providing assistance and expediting the claims of flood victims."
