KUALA LUMPUR: The New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd Cooperative today held its 2022 NSTP Cooperative Appreciation Ceremony to recognise and loyal and long-standing members.

NSTP group managing editor Datuk Ahmad Zaini Kamaruzzaman officiated the ceremony and presented awards to six members of the cooperative who have been members for more than 35 years.

The six were Datuk Nuraina Abdul Samad, Shukor Othman, Wan Fauzie Halwani Ahmat, Mas Ayu Ali, Ahmad Afifi Hussin and Sharifuddin Daud, who each received additional share capital of RM200 and an appreciation plaque.

Also present during the ceremony today were New Straits Times group editor Farrah Naz Karim and NST executive editor Sharanjit Singh.

Zaini said the six members never failed to pay their monthly fees and had never withdrawn contributions throughout their time as members.

He encouraged the company's staff to join the cooperative.

"I hope all the staff can use the services offered by the cooperative, as if there is a profit, it can be returned to the members," he said during his speech.

NSTP Cooperative chairman Mohammad Fadzil Abdul Ghani said ex-staff and family members of staff were also eligible to be members of the NSTP Cooperative.

Fadzil said he hoped that more people would become members as there were many benefits like welfare, death funds, education funds, group insurance with minimum fees of RM100 per month, flood relief and much more.

During the ceremony, there was a prize presentation for three lucky of the Carum & Menang Campaign lucky draw.

There was also a presentation for 25 winners of the 2022 Vehicle Insurance Customer Lucky Draw, who received 20 consolation prizes and five prizes of electrical appliances.
