PETALING JAYA: Lalamove, through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme Deliver Care, recently collaborated with non-governmental organisation (NGO) Hope Selangor to deliver groceries and essential items to families affected by flash floods around Peninsular Malaysia.

The Deliver Care programme, which aims to empower local communities to bring positive change, can be traced back to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 when Lalamove began to offer free delivery of essential goods, especially to underprivileged communities.

The essentials from Hope Selangor were delivered to the affected families via Lalamove's lorries.

The positive impact on local communities in various areas affected by the flash flood were far-reaching and profound through this collaboration.

Lalamove Malaysia managing director Jane Teh said: "We have been moved by the selfless dedication of unsung heroes serving the public during difficult times.

"When we learned about Hope Selangor's mission to alleviate the hardship of flood victims, we were keen to contribute with our Deliver Care programme.

"Through this programme, we can leverage our strength and strong network in the instant delivery landscape to move things that matter to impacted communities on behalf of NGOs and humanitarian initiatives. This is the spirit of Deliver Care," she concluded.

Lalamove's partnership with Hope Selangor reflects Deliver Care's mission of 'Empowering Local Communities To Deliver Positive Changes'.

Aside from serving local communities, the delivery provider also offers Long Haul delivery service across the peninsula.

NGOs can take advantage of Lalamove's Deliver Care programme and Long Haul service to add more distance to their humanitarian deliveries.

Currently, Lalamove offers Long Haul delivery from the Klang Valley, Penang, Johor and Melaka to anywhere in West Malaysia with their vans, 4x4 pickup trucks and lorries.

Besides the prospect of same-day delivery across states for NGOs, Long Haul delivery is also offered to consumers and small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

This service can facilitate expansion operations and supply chain management of SMEs with Lalamove's fleet of larger vehicles.

When coupled with Lalamove's Business Account, businesses with interests across the peninsula will stand to gain dividends from Lalamove's tailored logistics support and peninsula-wide delivery coverage.

Lalamove will continue to empower and connect communities during these challenging periods with its delivery sponsorship for charities.
