KUALA LUMPUR: Former Ketereh Umno division chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa will not appeal against his dismissal from the party.

Annuar said he received the official dismissal letter from Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan on Monday.

"Several sections of the party constitution were mentioned in the letter. However, there was no mention of my wrongdoings in the letter.

"We need to know what we did wrong, or whether we are right on certain things before we make an appeal. Until today, I have not been given an explanation on my wrongdoings.

"No one have called, questioned me, and asked for my explanation. All the supreme council committee members are my friends, but nobody has asked me anything," he said at the newly established Muafakat Nasional office in Sri Hartamas here today.

"So, I have come to a conclusion that they do not need me anymore."

Annuar said he had written a five-page letter to Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi on several allegations against him.

"I will not reveal the content of the letter at the moment because the matters mentioned in the letter are too 'sensitive'," Annuar said.

He said he has accepted his dismissal and has advised his family and friends to not leave the party.

"I will not criticise it and I accept the decision made by the party's top leaders. I had also asked my family members and relatives not to leave Umno.

"More than 300 Keterah division members are related to me. Let me leave (the party) alone."

On Dec 9, Ahmad confirmed that Annuar was one of the three party members sacked during its supreme council meeting on Thursday night.

Two other members sacked were Arau Wanita chief and wife of Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, Datin Seri Shamsiah Md Yassin, and Maran Wanita chief Datin Seri Fatimah Kassim, who is wife of Maran incumbent Datuk Seri Ismail Muttalib.
