KUALA LUMPUR: The Social Security Organisation (Socso) has resumed its Health Screening Programme (HSP) to foster awareness, early detection and prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

The programme, which resumed on Wednesday, was introduced in 2013 but was suspended from April 1, 2020, to May 31 this year.

Socso yesterday said the reimplementation of the programme was also to reduce the risk of disability and early death among contributors.

It said HSP would now use SEHATi, a digital platform accessible via a mobile application, for employee use, and via an online portal for service panel use, such as clinics, laboratories and mammogram centres.

"These programmes are offered to employees who contribute to Socso's Disability Scheme aged 40 and above, with citizenship status, as well as employees between 30 and 39 who have health risks. Our contributors can download the SEHATi application to check their eligibility before registering for HSP.

"They can also use other health-related functions, such as flexible health screening management function, including making an appointment with panel clinics or access screening test results."

Socso said the application allowed employees to record their health data for self-health monitoring.

"The HSP service panel can use the SEHATi Portal to enjoy better health screening management facilities under HSP.

"This includes the management of health screening appointments and online advisory services, and the management of more systematic health screening records."

HSP service panels were encouraged to make the transition from the SEHAT Portal to the SEHATi Portal, it said.

"The service panel needs to only obtain the access code by logging into the SEHAT Portal and follow instructions for the transition to the SEHATi Portal."

Socso contributors can log on to https://sehati.perkeso.gov.my, contact [email protected] or the HSP Hotline at 03-42645089 for information.
