KUALA LUMPUR: Motorists should ensure their Touch 'N Go (TnG) cards are active to avoid getting stuck at toll plazas during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri balik kampung journey.

PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) chief operating officer Datuk Zakaria Ahmad Zabidi said highway users with dormant or expired cards will be rejected by the system.

"They may not be able to pass through the toll plaza which will result in traffic congestion.

"We advise our customers with dormant or expired TnG cards to obtain a replacement from Touch 'n Go authorised retailers and sales agents across the country.

"The validity of their cards can be checked at the TnG portal," he said today.

TnG cards will be rendered inactive if no toll transactions are made within 12 consecutive months.

MyKad as well as Watsons loyalty cards embedded with TnG chips can be used at the PLUS toll plazas.

There are over 11,000 TnG reload centres at selected rest and relaxation service areas, ATM machines and convenience stores along PLUS highways, including 67 Self Service Kiosks (SSK) at selected toll plazas.

There are also 22 TnG counters at selected petrol stations along PLUS highways which allow top-up without additional charges.
