KUANTAN: Doing a land search in Pahang just became a lot easier with the latest feature in the state government's Pahang Go application.

The newly-introduced land title ownership search with the cooperation of the state Land and Mines Office (PTG) will ease the process as one only needs to key in details on the chosen district and lot number.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail described the feature as among the first of its kind in the country's land administration system would allow the public to make official and private search for land titles online.

"Currently, the service is only limited to official and private land with PTG titles. It will be expanded to include titles under the district land administration system before the end of this year.

"Besides being a transformation of public service delivery in land administration, this alternative method provides services without the customers being physically present at the PTG office," he said in a statement.

Wan Rosdy said the new initiative was expected to be a catalyst towards boosting the digital economy in Pahang, besides helping to reduce business costs including travel expenses to obtain information on the land titles.

"The payment to access the online services still remains the same as provided under the Pahang Land Rules 1992 which is RM100 for official land search and RM50 for private land search.

"The Pahang government hopes this initiative will spur more government departments and agencies across the state to implement improvements to the entire public service delivery system," he said.

The new features allow the public including those in other states to search based on the respective land's lot number before the official ownership document will be sent right to the doorstep,

The latest feature by the state government's Pahang Go Sdn Bhd, requires users to download the PahangGo application from Google PlayStore and App store before clicking on PTG.

On a separate matter, Wan Rosdy said the state government had decided to extend the deadline to pay quit rent in Pahang to Sept 30.

"The state government appreciates the commitment displayed by land owners to fulfil their responsibility to continue paying the tax despite the challenging situation resulting from the pandemic.

"The deadline for all registered land owners has been extended till Sept 30. The late payment fine will be only imposed for payments settled after Oct 1, 2021," he said.
