KUALA LUMPUR: Pas has called for all parties to focus on efforts to mitigate issues brought by the Covid-19 pandemic instead of training guns at the administration's newly-formed cabinet.

Pas president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang said endless politicking would only hinder progress made under the National Recovery Plan (NRP).

"Pas is calling for all parties to work together in solving the country's problems. It is time for us to look after the people and restore the economy which has been affected by the pandemic.

"It is not the time for politicking at the expense of the NRP," he said in a statement.

Abdul Hadi also reiterated his party's support for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob's government.

"Pas is confident that the prime minister and his cabinet will carry out their respective duties, with a results-oriented high-performance work culture."
