PUTATAN: Ten-year-old Mohd Irfan Itihsyam Mazlan said he will miss his mother's cooking and father's teasing this Hari Raya Aidilfitri after losing them in a car accident recently.

He also longed for his second sister who was also killed in the incident.

"Irfan misses mummy… missing her soy sauce chicken and how daddy used to tease me. This is the first time I am not able to eat mummy's cooking," he said when met at his house.

He said his late mother was known to be a good cook and an expert in making kuih.

During the accident in March, Mohd Irfan, four siblings and their mother had followed their father on a tow truck assigned to bring back a broken car from Keningau to Kota Kinabalu.

However, when they returned to the state capital, the truck was believed to have suffered a brake issue and met with an accident along Jalan Kimanis-Keningau around 10pm.

"We were all thrown out and only my two younger sisters and I were conscious at that time.

"It was dark but I managed to struggle to stop passing cars for help. Thankfully, someone stopped to save us," he said.

His eldest sister Nursazzey Shazmika, 15, said their mother had planned to shop for baju Raya for them.

"It is a yearly routine for just mummy and me to go for baju Raya shopping for my siblings." she said.
