KUALA LUMPUR: Lazada Malaysia will be hosting its first virtual tour on LazLive at Zoo Negara this Friday, during which wildlife lovers can visit the zoo from the comfort and safety of their homes.
The virtual tour around Zoo Negara would commence from 10.30am to 11.30am on the eve of Lazada's 12.12 Grand Year-End Sale.
Viewers will have a chance to get RM25 subsidised donation rebates via its digital charity platform LazadaForGood.
"It has been a hard past few months for most Malaysians.
"Hence for Lazada 12.12 this year, we hope to give back to the local community that we serve by subsidising LazadaForGood rewards in support of our non-profit organisation (NGO) partners.
"They have been working tirelessly to help those in need and to assist our brave heroes on the front lines," said Lazada Malaysia chief executive officer Leo Chow.
The LazLive session would be hosted by doctor-turned-comedian Dr Jason Leong.
Dr Leong would be visiting and showcasing feeding sessions for several animals during the LazLive virtual tour which includes Samba the Lion, Flash the Cheetah, Choki the Sumatran Orangutan and many more.
Viewers have the option of donating in real-time at each wildlife location visited by Dr Leong.
The first 50 at each of the location, who donates RM25 would receive RM25 Lazada Wallet 12.12 rebates to shop and enjoy "Buy 1, Get 2" savings and discounts during Lazada's 12.12 sale.
Viewers who donate above RM50 will receive an "Adopt an Animal" e-certificate from Zoo Negara as well as a Zoo Negara voucher.
"We are touched and grateful for the support from kind-hearted Malaysians that contributed to help conserve the zoo via LazadaForGood," said Zoo Negara Malaysia deputy president, Rosly @ Rahmat Ahmat Lana.
Lazada Malaysia is also hosting a "Make-Your-Wish Facebook" Contest on LazadaForGood.
Those who contribute to any of the NGOs on LazadaForGood from now until the eve of 12.12, such as UNICEF, Hospis Malaysia and Mercy Malaysia will stand a chance to be one of the five lucky Make-Your-Wish winners.
Among others, winners will enjoy a fun one-on-one virtual TikTok duet with Ain Edruce, a private concert with Ayda Jebat, a personal performance by Ismail Izzani, an all-expenses-paid dinner date with Sean Lee, and freshly baked goods personally curated by Joey Leong.
All they have to do is share a screenshot of their donation along with their order number in the comment section of the Make-Your-Wish contest post on Lazada Malaysia's Facebook.
Once they have completed the first out of three steps, participants can choose the celebrity they wish to win the virtual meet-and-greet with.
