ALOR STAR: The Sultan of Kedah, Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah graced a Chinese Cultural Performances Concert organised by Kedah Chinese Assembly Hall at the Sultan Abdul Halim Stadium tonight.
The concert was part of the 36th Malaysia Chinese Cultural Festival celebration.
More than 600 members of the Chinese Classical Orchestra kicked off the evening with a beautiful rendition of the state anthem “Allah Selamatkan Sultan”.
This was followed by a spirited 24 Season Drum as well as a lion and dragon dance performance.
There was also a poetry recital and Gamelan music performances to add variety to the evening’s show.
Also in attendance was Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir.
