SUBANG JAYA: Unlimited travel pass My100 has garnered more than 100,000 subscribers since its launch in January.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke said it indicated that the government’s efforts to encourage the public to use public transport had produced results.

“The initiative to launch the unlimited (travel) My100 and My50 passes to regular users, to encourage them to opt for public transport has been fruitful.

“More than 100,000 people have subscribed to My100 and I predict the number will increase,” he said after launching the Feeder Bus service from the Putra Heights Light Rail Transit (LRT) station to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and KLIA2, here, today.

Loke said the feeder bus service was a joint initiative of Prasarana and Perkhidmatan Hafeena Sdn Bhd through Jetbus.

He said the government did not favour any companies and even though Prasarana was owned by the government and Jetbus was privately owned, he had launched both operations at the same time.

“What is more important is the healthy competition which will result in better services.

“The LRT station was chosen due to its strategic location connecting to most pathways to KLIA,” Loke said, adding that a combo ticket priced at RM10 one-way entitled passengers to use any Prasarana service and take the Rapid Bus to KLIA and KLIA2 at the Putra Heights LRT station.

“Jetbus will be offering service at RM4 one-way from Putra Heights LRT station to KLIA and KLIA2.

“Both services will have increased frequency rate,” he said.
