SEREMBAN: Some 50 entrepreneurs from the state were given a talk on the importance of marketing their products through advertising packages offered by the New Straits Times Press.

The Biz Talk seminar, held at Dewan D’curve Majlis Amanah Rakyat in Seremban Plaza also saw briefings held by Perbadanan Nasional Bhd (PNB), Malaysian Franchise Association (MFA), the Malay Chamber of Commerce of Malaysia and Maybank.

Sariffah Mohammad Saad, who owns an aromatherapy oil business, said she had never thought about the need to market her products by placing ads in the newspaper before this as she had believed it to be too costly.

“But today I learnt that NSTP has a special package for small and medium scale entrepreneurs and I believe that this can help me grow my business.”

Sariffah said marketing a product was a crucial aspect for an entrepreneur, especially those just getting into business and those from small and medium scale industry.

She said it was also important that such entrepreneurs choose the right form of marketing and advertising due to the costs involved.

“The special packages offered by NSTP will help and it will save costs as well. And what makes it even more attractive is that the packages include NSTP’s digital platforms as well, so we get to tap into the present era of advertising,” she said.

NSTP advertising assistant manager Zulkifle Ali said the special packages offered entrepreneurs advertising rates with 60 per cent discounts.

“It is one of our efforts to help small and medium scale entrepreneurs.
