KUALA LUMPUR: Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has been appointed new opposition leader, party secretary-general Tan Sri Annuar Musa confirmed today.
Zahid, who is also Bagan Datuk member of parliament, was seen in the Dewan Rakyat occupying the seat traditionally reserved for the opposition leader.
On a separate matter, Annuar said Umno has yet to decide whether it will contest in the Sungai Kandis by-election.
