KUALA LUMPUR: Some 40 students from the Darul Quran Ittifaqiyah Tahfiz Centre broke fast and performed the terawih prayers at the residence of former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak in Taman Duta here, last night.

All of them were seen walking into the residence at 7pm together with members of the Prihatin non-govervenmental organisation (NGO).

After breaking fast, performing prayers and reciting the Quran, the students left at about 10.30pm.

Also with them was the centre's principal Mohd Zahid Mahmood.

When asked how were things inside the residence, Mohd Zahid said everything was normal and everyone inside including Najib and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor were calm.
