KUALA LUMPUR: Police will submit their investigation paper (IP) on Felda's Jalan Semarak deal to the Attorney-General's Chambers Wednesday.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun said that police have wrapped up their investigations.
"Earlier, we were expected to submit the IP last week but due to technical circumstances, we postponed but we are now ready to submit it," he said without divulging further details.
Earlier this month, police recorded former Felda chairman Tan Sri Isa Samad's statement as part of their probe into the Jalan Semarak land scandal.
It was learnt that the police have recorded statements from at least nine people including those on Felda's board of directors as well as developer Synergy Promenade Sdn Bhd (SPSB).
Berita Harian, reported last month that Felda was at risk of losing ownership of its Jalan Semarak land, worth more than RM200 million, in what had been described as a "dubious deal" conducted in 2015.
The ownership transfer of the land took place when FIC Sdn Bhd appointed SPSB as its main developer on June 3, 2014, and it was granted full power of attorney to develop the land.
