KULIM: Several areas here have been hit by power disruptions since this evening, due to flood.
Among the affected areas were Taman Kekwa, Taman Budiman, Taman Selasih, Taman Seroja, Taman Kenanga and Taman Dahlia.
However, it is not immediately known the total number of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) account holders who were facing the problem.
A TNB Careline spokesman confirmed that many people reported of experiencing power disruption in the district, especially in Taman Seroja and its surrounding areas.
"We are in the process of repairing the damage," said the spokesman.
At least 14 sub-districts in Kulim have been hit by floods following continuous rain since Friday.
In Kedah, 2,721 victims have so far sought shelter at 39 relief centres in Kulim, Bandar Baharu, Yan, Baling and Kuala Muda.
