NILAI: A 27-year old man was killed while another two men were injured in a road accident at KM285.4 of the North South Highway near the Nilai toll exit at 1am this morning.

District police chief Superintendent Zaldino Zaludin said the deceased was identified as Choo Han Peng while his passenger was identified as Eben Ting ik Peng, 35.

The accident occurred when the Toyota Unser, driven by Choo, was believed to have abruptly switched lanes at high speed from the second to the third lane of the four-lane highway.

This caused a Proton Perdana driven by Ng Xin Qiang, 35, to collide with Choo's car from behind and as a result both drivers lost control of their respective vehicles and crashed to the side of the highway.

Due to the impact, Choo was killed on the spot while Ng suffered injuries to his right hand and was warded at the Chinese Maternity Hospital in Seremban.

Meanwhile, Eben was warded at the Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital, Seremban. Choo's remains was also sent to the same hospital for post mortem.
