KUALA KRAI: The bodies of the seven religious students who were killed in an accident at Kampung Telekung, Kuala Krai this morning have been claimed by their families for burial this evening.

A Kuala Krai hospital spokesman said the bodies were released at 6 pm.

Nik Ahmad Daniel Nik Ahma, 14, Ahmad Farhan Zulkifli, 14, Muhamad Rahman

Rozali, 17, and Thai citizen Sarifuddin Muhammad were taken to their respective hometowns for burials.

Daniel’s body was taken back to Kota Baru, Farhan to Gua Musang, Rahman to Bachok and Sarifuddin, Thailand.

The other three victims Muhammad Hakimi Muhammad Dahalan, Nik Shah Jehan Nik Azmin, and Mohamad Hafiz Aimullah Mustafa were buried at a burial site in the vicinity of their school, the Maahad Tahfiz Al-Hashimi at Kampung Tualang, about 3km from Kuala Krai town.

More than 100 students, teachers, family members and villagers gathered at the Al-Hashimi mosque to perform prayers for them before the burial.
