KUALA NERANG: Four undocumented Myanmar nationals were nabbed by the authorities at the Malaysia-Thailand border near Kuala Nerang yesterday.

In a statement, the 2nd Malaysian Infantry Brigade headquarters said patrolling units detected and detained a group of suspicious individuals in a shack near a rubber plantation at the location at 6am.

"Upon inspection, the four individuals, consisting of two men, one woman, and a little girl, all aged between two and 49 years old, were found to be undocumented Myanmar nationals attempting to enter Malaysia through an illegal route at the border.

"Three mobile phones, children's clothing, and two flashlights with an estimated total value of RM 1,650 were also seized," it added.

Subsequently, the undocumented Myanmar nationals were handed over to the police.

"The patrolling units will continue to ensure the safety of the country's border from cross-border criminal activities," it said.
